Testimonial :
"Buddies4Math offers Castro at-risk students the opportunity to experience math as a recreational activity, not just a class at school. Dedicated volunteers from local middle and high schools work in small group activities in math concepts and applications with third and fourth graders every Friday afternoon. Our students look forward to the session and it's amazing to see how excited and engaged they are in math. Not only has the program changed student's attitudes and improved their confidence about math, but their math achievement on state tests has also improved. Our Latino students gained 64 points on the API last year, contributing to a 43 point gain for the school."

Ziro premiers at Castro School !

In partnership with ZeroUI, a new robotics module  Ziro was launched at Buddies4math. Ziro, is the award wining robotics kit that lets users control the robotics with their hands. Sreya worked with Ansh Verma from ZeroUi in the summer to develop and pilot a robotics module. Starting next week, fifth graders will be working with Ziro.

A big thank you to Prof Ramani, Mr Jasti, Ansh Verma and Tanuj Siddharth from ZeroUI for providing us special access to the robotics kit. Ziro is being released next year, so we are very lucky to get two robotics kits to work with our students. Starting next week, fifth graders will be working with Ziro.

Ansh Verma from ZeroUI did a workshop with tutors Nika, Haripriya, Ethan, Lucy to introduce them to the kit. Erika Navarro, Supervisor of Beyond the Bell at the Mountain View Whisman School district observes the workshop.
